QUESTIONS POSED TO PSYCHIATRISTS

Gentlemen psychiatrists

Many years Psychiatry tries desperately to reach the status of science, something that scientists refuse because they believe that Psychiatry does not meet specific criteria imposed their scientific profession. In effect if psychiatry is to be recognized by all it must be able to show by independent organizations that egregious results, she statistics of indisputable successes by independent agencies.

Whenever the question has been raised, the answer was always the same: "Statistics, impossible to establish step" as you can see in the letter from the Belgian Minister.
As I think it is better to speak to God to his saints, I you to ask questions directly and bluntly, this way you can give the answers that policies do not have and we can finally move forward.

1 Can you give me the figures for the number of patients who suffered electric shock in our psychiatric hospitals in recent five years (if possible the numbers for the last ten years)?

(a) how many patients are cured completely?

(b) how are not healed?

(c) how have worsened?

(d) how many of psychiatric hospitalizations for patients in the ten years following this treatment?

(e) how many organizations deliver this treatment?

(f) what is the cost of this treatment totalling electroconvulsive therapy and care following (hospitalization, confinement, financial or other assistance)?

2 Can you give me the figures concerning the number of mental patients who have undergone a lobotomy these past five years (if possible the numbers for the last ten years)?

(a) how many patients are cured completely?

(b) how are not healed?

(c) how have worsened?

(d) how many of psychiatric hospitalizations for patients in the ten years following a
lobotomy?

(e) how many organizations practice of lobotomies?

(f) what is the cost of this treatment totalling lobotomy and care following (hospitalization)
(internment, financial assistance or other)?

3. When carried out the latest statistics in France?

4. In what way are voted the new diseases to the DSM IV? (It is said that this is done freehand.)

5. What are the statistics of successes and failures of Psychiatry in France aware of these past 5 years? (either by electric shocks, drugs or other.)

6. Why psychiatrists are they not prosecuted legally in France error of judgment as doctors? Yet the faults they do have serious repercussions, as can be seen in the case of Grenoble.
