Dear friends, dear friends,
In 48 hours, my daughter is scheduled to appear before a Pakistani court for blasphemy and risk the death penalty. My innocent daughter has fought all his life against its DS - it deserves any punishment. Please, help me to save my daughter.Sign the petition to president Zardari to support my call to protect religious minorities:
Last week, a mob threatened to burn alive my daughter, and within 48 hours, a judge will determine whether she should be freed or remain in prison. Rimsha is a girl with trisomy 21, who at the time often does not control everything it does. Yet, here in Pakistan, police accused him of desecrating the Koran, and we fear for his life.
It is held in this moment in a high-security prison, and in a few hours, she is scheduled to appear in court and she will answer of blasphemy in Pakistan can be punished with the death penalty. We are a poor family of the Christian faith, helpless against the mob against my daughter. Many other families have been the subject of similar intimidation that have forced them to flee or to live in fear. But the emotion in the world by Rimsha history has encouraged some Pakistani Muslim leaders to denounce this injustice and eventually attract the attention of President Zardari.
Please, help me to create a worldwide solidarity movement in support of Rimsha, my daughter. I call you to sign my petition to president Zardari to save Rimsha and also obtain protection for my family and all vulnerable families belonging to religious minorities. Avaaz will be the echo of this campaign to the Pakistani and international media, to which all political leaders in Pakistan are attentive:

A drunken crowd of anger claimed the arrest of my daughter after an imam from the neighbourhood had preached publicly against it, stating that she had desecrated the Koran. Several individuals were then threatened with the run and burn the houses of Christians in our community. I pray that at his hearing Saturday, the charges against her be dropped and that it can return with us.
Our family is in danger of death, even the simple fact to the anti-blasphemy laws in Pakistan may be fatal - last year, the Pakistani Minister for minorities was murdered after the abolition of the death penalty for blasphemy. The situation is so volatile that many Christian neighbors in our slums in Islamabad had to flee their homes.
We respect the freedom of worship of each. We hope that our daughter and our
community are safe. If only this had never happened! We are pleased that the ulema Council, which brings together academics and Muslim dignitaries here in Pakistan, is expressed for example on the subject: "We do not see anyone overcome injustice." "We will work to put an end to the climate of fear". With your help, we can not only make free Rimsha, but also make the incident the beginning of mutual understanding between the communities in Pakistan. I ask you to sign this petition and pass it on to all your friends.
