Algerian billionaire buys the Musée du Louvre in Paris and the island of Palma in Spain

Algerian billionaire buys the Musée du Louvre in Paris and the island of Palma in Spain by Amon Taking advantage of the economic crisis which is raging in Europe, particularly in Spain and France, the Algerian billionaire Djilali Mehri has just made a beautiful double by purchasing the island of Palma de Mallorca and the Louvre Museum. For the purchase of the famous island and the most prestigious Museum in the world, the negotiations between Djilali Mehri and the Spanish and French parties were held at the highest level of the two States and in the greatest secrecy. Indeed, on the Spanish side, it is King Juan Carlos in person who has signed the surrender of the island of Palma de Mallorca, now became a property of the Algerian, while businessman that the agreement signed between the parties stipulates that the Spanish flag will always float on the tourist island. After negotiations in secret for several months, the agreement was finalized and signed yesterday at 4 pm at the royal palace Palacio de Oriente, the Spanish capital Madrid. The signing ceremony was held in the presence of the head of the Government of Spain Mariano Rajoy, Queen Sofia who was unable to hold back his tears and the daughter of Marshall, Chantel, who was thrilled. Note that the latter is currently writing a book dedicated to his father. We must remember that Palma de Mallorca is the main and most famous of the Balearic Islands. The island bought by Djilali Mehri has more than 400 00 inhabitants and regularly receives hundreds of thousands of tourists from around the world. Since the beginning of the economic crisis, many Algerians have invested in Spain, especially in Andalusia, by buying homes and apartments, but the big surprise comes from Djilali Mehri coming to capture one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Recently, the emir of Qatar Hamad Ben Khalifa Al Thani had done the same by buying out not less than six islands in Greece, another country affected by the economic crisis. Djilali Mehri had moved in the same morning yesterday in Paris to sign another act of purchase of 94% of the shares of the Louvre Museum. The Act was signed by Algerian billionaire on the one hand, and Aurélie Filippetti, French Minister of culture and communication on the other. The signing of the instrument of assignment of the shares took place at the office of the notary Jean-Jaques Dusaumon, rue Kléber, two hundred metres from the Arc de triomphe in Paris. Contacted last night by the time of Algeria, Djilali Mehri has confirmed the purchase of the Spanish island and the Louvre Museum in Paris, but refused to give an any figure concerning the two transactions. Mr. Mehri, who is known for his covert actions, particularly when it comes to donations or big business, admitted however that the purchase of the Louvre is an old project, and that it is a matter of pride and honor. Indeed, known to be a great collector of works of art, Djilali Mehri did not forget this day of July 1967, when Museum officials had denied him access to the room where an array of Fromentin, on the pretext that French was expected so far was exposed. This lover of art, including works of orientalists like Fromentin and Dinet, left the Museum promising to appropriate all the works that were there. 45 years later, it has fulfilled his vow. The Louvre Museum has indeed become property of the Algerian businessman.
